Anima is an online consultation tool that helps GPs/ANPs manage patient requests and queries through digital triage. Anima makes it easier for patients to talk to their doctor and help GPs to prioritise and deliver care through message, phone and also video.
08:00 -18:30 – Anima open Monday – Friday during our Core Hours (except on Bank holidays)
Anima is open 08:00 – 18:30 Monday – Friday, for all GP and Advanced Nurse Practitioner requests.
Once the Practice has reached capacity ( i.e no more appointments available for the day with any clinician). You will see receive a message on Anima from a clinician who has triaged your request in regards to a clinical pathway for your condition as below:
" We have now reached full capacity for today and are unable to offer any further appointments. Your request has been reviewed by a clinician, and they have advised the following pathway:
As per the clinician’s advice, this request will now be closed"
Admin requests and Repeat medications can still be submitted throughout the core hours. We also would advise patients to sign up for the NHS App for repeat medication ordering.
If you attend the reception desk at 8am, you will be asked to submit via Anima and will be directed to this service , you will not be seen any quicker by attending as your request will still need to be triaged. If you do not have access to Anima then you can call the surgery and one of the team will submit on your behalf. We do have a call back system so you can remain in the queue without having to wait on the phone. The team will call you when its your turn.
Any response from the Practice will be sent via email or SMS and will show on your Anima account also. You may also see a care plan from the clincian or advice and guidance or signposting to another service.
Please be aware we do not not take appointment requests via email
