Update on Horncastle Medical Group Coronavirus policy:

 Routine appointments, we aim for these to be by telephone or video consultation. Should your GP or Nurse Practitioner decide they need to see you face to face, an appointment will be given.

 Urgent appointments, we will continue to see patients as previously, however, if there is a likelihood you may have coronavirus or been in contact with someone who has coronavirus, you will be asked to contact NHS 111. Patients will only be allowed in the Practice if they have a booked appointment or are collecting medication from our dispensary.

 If you attend the surgery and have no appointment, you will be asked to telephone the surgery and your queries will be assessed.


Please do not come to the surgery to order your medication, either email, order online, post by Royal Mail or through the surgery outside letterbox.

 Dispensing patients can collect their medication as usual, unless there is a likelihood they may have coronavirus or been in contact with someone who has coronavirus, in which case alternative collection arrangements should be made.

 Minor Injuries

This service will continue as usual, however, all patients will need to telephone the surgery prior to being seen, it is no longer a walk in service.

Treatment Room

Patients requiring wound assessments, regular injections and immunisations will be able to book one week ahead.

 Routine Chronic Disease Management (Diabetes, CHD, asthma, COPD etc.)

These appointments are being put on hold in the short term, however, if you have any specific concerns in relation to your illness, please call for a telephone consultation.
